Ahmed Awad is an Iraqi artist born in 1987. His artistic journey is characterized by continuous transformation and development in his artistic style. He began his academic studies in Computer Science at Tikrit University, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in this field in 2009. However, his passion for art led him to move to Qatar, where he started his artistic career in realistic painting.

His experience at the Souq Waqif Art Center in Qatar marked an important turning point in his career, as it provided him with an inspiring environment to develop his skills in painting. Driven by his passion for art, he deepened his studies in academic painting in Italy, specifically inFlorence, the heart of the European Renaissance. There, he joined the Angel Academy of Art, where he studied the principles of academic painting, including those established by the French artist Jean-Léon Gérôme. In 2018, he graduated with honors, earning a diploma in academic painting.

After completing his academic experience, Ahmed returned to Iraq to continue his studies at Tikrit University, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts Education in 2023. He then returned to Qatar to settle there and continue his professional work as an artist at the Souq Waqif Art Center.

Ahmed Awad's works are distinguished by his deep focus on painting Arabian horses, which he views as a significant cultural and historical element in Arab civilization. Through studying their details, aesthetics, and structure, he has been able to express his emotional and historical connection to this subject. He won first place in the Katara Arabian Horse Painting Competition at the Katara International Arabian Horse Festival in 2022. The exhibition represents the first group of artworks celebrating and connecting with the Arabian horse.
